With two nights in the desert area, you will have time to connect with nomadic families, enjoy Gnawa music, and glide down the dunes on a sandboard. 5 Day Tour from Fez to the Desert
Today we head to the Todra Gorges, passing through Ifrane and the cedar forests of Azrou, home to wild Barbary macaques. We will have lunch in the Berber village of Zaida. We continue our journey through the Atlas Mountains, enjoying the landscapes around Midelt. We will pass through the famous town of Imilchil before arriving at the Todra Gorges in the evening for our overnight stay.
After breakfast, we will explore the Todra Gorges before heading to the Merzouga desert, passing through Erfoud and Rissani. We will check into a desert hotel and enjoy a free afternoon to discover the surrounding area at your own pace.
Today features a 4×4 desert excursion. We will visit local oases, meet nomad families, and explore the village of Khamlia (famous for its Gnawa music). In the evening, we set off on a camel trek through the dunes to our desert camp, where we will spend the night in comfortable traditional tents. Experience an incredible sunset in the heart of the Sahara.
After watching an early sunrise, we ride the camels back to Merzouga. Following a shower and breakfast, we continue our tour toward Midelt. We will visit the Souk in Rissani as well as a fossil shop and factory in Erfoud. Our journey takes us back through the Ziz Valley and the Middle Atlas Mountains to spend the night at a local hotel in Midelt.
Today we depart from Midelt and drive through the cedar forests of Azrou, where we will stop to feed the monkeys by hand. We then continue via Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco,” arriving in Fes in the early evening. This marks the end of our tour in Fes.

We will be traveling through high mountain areas (cool) and desert areas (hot during the day, cool at night). We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and bringing something warm for the evenings.
