Embark on a 3-day journey that connects the landscapes of Ouarzazate with vibrant Marrakech, passing through the heart of the desert. This route is not just a transfer, it is an immersion: you will walk through the imposing Dades Gorges, share tea with nomadic families, and vibrate with the ancestral music in Khamlia. Sleeping among the dunes of Erg Chebbi and crossing the peaks of the Atlas Mountains will allow you to experience the geographical diversity and human warmth of Morocco on an unforgettable journey.
3 Day Tour From Ouarzazate to Marrakech
In the morning, we depart from Ouarzazate toward Tinghir via the Skoura Valley, the Rose Valley, and the Dades Valley. We will stop for lunch and a visit to the Dades Gorges. In the afternoon, we head to the Merzouga dunes to enjoy a beautiful sunset from the top of Erg Chebbi before riding camels to our camp for dinner and an overnight stay.
After admiring the sunrise over the dunes, you will return by camel to a hotel in Merzouga for breakfast and a shower. The day is dedicated to discovering the Merzouga region: the area home to natural desert fossils, the village of Tissardmine where many films have been shot, the black volcanic rock desert, and a visit to a local nomad family. We will then visit the village of Khamlia, famous for its inhabitants of sub-Saharan origin and their spiritual Gnawa music. Returning to Merzouga, you can enjoy dinner and the peace of the desert.
We wake up early in the morning to enjoy the spectacular sunrise among the dunes. Afterward, we return to Merzouga on dromedaries, taking in the incredible landscape. After breakfast and a shower at the lodge, we begin our return journey to Marrakech, passing through various villages such as Alnif, Tazarine, and N’kob until we reach Ouarzazate. We will return via the High Atlas mountains, arriving in Marrakech in the late afternoon.

We recommend comfortable, breathable clothing for the day, but it is essential to bring something warm for the night, as the temperature at the camp drops considerably.
This route passes through Ouarzazate; if you are particularly interested, we can arrange a quick stop on the first or last day before crossing the Atlas Mountains.
It usually arrives between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., depending on traffic at the Tichka Pass and any stops made along the way.
