2-Night Authentic Nomadic Immersion
Your journey begins in Merzouga, where our team will meet you and prepare your camel caravan with all the supplies needed for your desert stay. We will trek deep into the high dunes of Erg Chebbi, arriving just in time to climb the peaks and witness a spectacular Saharan sunset. The evening is spent at our traditional desert camp, where you will enjoy a home-cooked Berber dinner and live music around the campfire under a canopy of stars.
After watching the sunrise over the dunes and enjoying breakfast, the adventure continues as we explore the desert landscape by 4×4. We will visit local nomad families in their traditional dwellings and explore the ancient fossil quarries that tell the story of the land’s history. After lunch in a lush desert oasis, we visit the village of Khamlia to experience the soul-stirring Gnawa music performed by the descendants of the Sudanese people. You will then spend a unique second night, either returning to camp or staying with a nomad family for a truly immersive cultural exchange.
Wake up to your final desert sunrise and enjoy a traditional breakfast in the dunes. We will then begin our peaceful trek back to Merzouga on camelback, arriving with unforgettable memories and a new perspective on Moroccan life.

Yes, the second day of exploration to visit the nomads and the oasis is conducted via 4x4 or a suitable desert vehicle to ensure you can cover the vast landscape comfortably.
You have the unique flexibility to choose your second night's experience. You can either return to the comfort of the desert camp or opt for a truly authentic stay with a local nomad family to experience their traditional way of life firsthand.
While the 1-night tour focuses on the dunes, the 2-night experience is a deep cultural dive. You get a full day of exploration to visit nomad families, explore fossil quarries, and experience the spiritual Gnawa music in Khamlia.
