10 Days tour From Casablanca to Merzouga to Marrakech
Transfer from the airport to Casablanca, where we will visit the Hassan II Mosque and experience the coastal “Corniche.” Next, we depart for Rabat, the capital of Morocco. There, you can see the Hassan Tower and the Oudaya Kasbah before checking into your Riad.
After breakfast, we will visit the Hassan Tower in Rabat before departing for Chefchaouen. Our route takes us through the city of Kenitra and into the Rif Mountains via Wazzan and other mountain villages. Arriving in Chefchaouen in the early afternoon, you can enjoy a stroll through its narrow, blue-colored streets and admire the local handicrafts displayed on the shop facades. Dinner and overnight stay.
We head south, crossing the Rif Mountains again toward Volubilis, passing through Wazzan and various Rif villages. Volubilis houses the best-preserved Roman ruins in North Africa. Further south lies Meknes, built in the 17th century and one of the country’s Imperial Cities. We will stop for lunch and walk around the massive historical walls of the Medina and Bab el-Mansour, followed by a visit to the Sanctuary of Moulay Ismail. Afterward, we head directly to Fes for the night.
After breakfast at your Riad, we begin exploring Morocco’s oldest city. Walking through its narrow streets and alleys, we will visit the Royal Palace square and the Mellah (Jewish Quarter) built in the 16th century. We will ensure you visit all sites of historical and cultural interest, including the famous Al-Qaraouine University—the oldest in the region—the Tanneries, the Attarine Museum, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Idriss. After lunch, we will visit a cooperative and enjoy a wonderful panoramic view from the hill overlooking the entire Fes Medina.
We will pick you up from your hotel or Riad in Fes and drive south through Ifrane and Azrou via the Middle Atlas Mountains. Along the way, we stop in the cedar forest to see the Barbary macaques in their natural habitat. We cross the Tizi Ntalghamt pass and follow the magnificent Ziz Gorges carved into volcanic rock. You will see views of the Middle Atlas plateau and notice how the landscape shifts toward the desert as we approach Errachidia. After lunch, we continue through the Ziz Valley, Erfoud, and Rissani toward Merzouga.
We arrive in time to mount camels and trek to a Berber camp in the middle of the Erg Chebbi dunes—the highest in North Africa. The camp follows the spirit of the nomadic Berber lifestyle while providing essential services; tents are well-equipped with mattresses, blankets, and cushions. After dinner, we gather around the fire to enjoy the desert night, accompanied by traditional Berber drumming.
After witnessing an unbeatable sunrise over the dunes and eating breakfast, we ride the camels back to the village, taking in the spectacular changing colors of the Erg Chebbi landscape. We then leave the desert for the Todra Gorges—the highest and narrowest canyons in Morocco—before reaching the Dades Valley for dinner and an overnight stay.
We depart the Dades Valley for Kalaa M’gouna and Ouarzazate. The route through the Dades Valley is the “Path of a Thousand Kasbahs,” offering numerous photo opportunities. Today you will have the chance to meet nomads living in the Anti-Atlas mountains. We then cross the Rose Valley, stopping at Kalaat M’gouna, the “Rose City,” to shop for local rose products.
Continuing toward Skoura, we will visit the well-preserved Ameridil Kasbah, followed by a walk in the valley and lunch with a view. Then it’s on to Ouarzazate, the “Hollywood of Africa.” You may choose to visit the film studios, which house props from movies like *The Mummy*, *Gladiator*, and *The Last Temptation of Christ*. Dinner and overnight stay.
Departure for the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, built by Thami El Glaoui, one of the last powerful Atlas chiefs of the 19th century, as a major stop on the trade routes to Timbuktu. Today, the Kasbah houses belong to members of the Glaoui family. After a tour, we continue across the majestic High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka pass before arriving in Marrakech for the night at a Riad.
After breakfast at the Riad, we begin discovering “The Red City.” We will visit the most important historical and cultural sites, including the Majorelle Gardens, the Koutoubia Tower, the Saadian Tombs, the Bahia Palace, and the Menara Gardens. After lunch near the square, the entire afternoon is dedicated to the handicraft souks and the entertainment in the main square (Jemaa el-Fnaa).
Depending on your flight schedule, we will finalize any pending visits or last-minute shopping before departing for the Casablanca airport. End of the journey.

Solo teníamos un fin de semana y este tour fue perfecto. Dormir en el desierto es algo que hay que hacer una vez en la vida. El guía fue súper amable y el 4x4 muy cómodo.
