8 Day Tour From Tangier to the Desert

Day 1: Tangier – The Blue Pearl of Chefchaouen

We begin our adventure in Tangier, touring its historical landmarks before heading toward the Rif Mountains. We will arrive in Chefchaouen, famous for its facades painted in infinite shades of blue. You will have time to lose yourself in its photogenic alleys and enjoy its peaceful, bohemian atmosphere.

Day 2: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes

We leave the Rif to travel back in time. We will visit the Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and continue toward Meknes—the city of Moulay Ismail—to admire its imposing walls. By nightfall, we will arrive in Fes, the spiritual capital of the country.

Day 3: Total Exploration of Fes

A day dedicated to the largest and oldest medina in the world. Immersed in history, we will visit the University of Al-Karaouine, the leather tanneries, the madrasas, and the bustling souks. Fes is a journey to the Middle Ages, full of colors, scents, and authentic craftsmanship.

Day 4: Fes – Cedar Forest – Merzouga Desert

We cross the Middle Atlas, stopping in Ifrane (the “Switzerland of Morocco”) and the Azrou forest to see the Barbary macaque monkeys. We will travel through the Ziz Valley until we reach Merzouga. Here, we will mount dromedaries to cross the Erg Chebbi dunes, enjoy the sunset, and sleep in a nomad camp under a starry sky.

Day 5: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

After watching the sunrise over the dunes, we return for breakfast and head to Rissani and Erfoud. We will walk through the imposing Todra Gorges, with their 300-meter-high walls, and end the day in the spectacular Dades Valley, surrounded by unique rock formations.

Day 6: Rose Valley – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

We travel along the “Route of a Thousand Kasbahs” and the Rose Valley. We will visit the Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, the backdrop for films such as *Gladiator*. We cross the Tizi n’Tichka pass (2,260m) in the High Atlas before descending toward Marrakech, where we end the day at the magical Jemaa el-Fna Square.

Day 7: Marrakech, the Red City

A full day to discover the treasures of Marrakech: the Koutoubia Mosque, the Saadian Tombs, the Bahia Palace, and the vibrant souks of the Medina. A total immersion in the energy and color of Morocco’s most famous city.

Day 8: Marrakech – Tangier (Return)

After some final shopping or sightseeing, we begin our return journey north via the modern highway, enjoying the changing landscapes of the coast and the interior until we reach Tangier for the end of our services.
