3 day Tour from Fez to Marrakech

Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Erg Chebbi

After meeting you, we will begin our 3-day desert excursion from Fes to Marrakech and the Sahara. On our way to the desert, we will make several stops at points of interest. The first two will be Ifrane and Azrou; Ifrane is known as the “Switzerland of Morocco,” and Azrou is famous for its vast cedar forests. In the forest, we can observe the local Barbary macaques, adding a fun touch to our journey. Afterward, we will head to Midelt, Morocco’s “Apple City.” We then cross the Ziz Valley and the Tafilalt oases, which house the most extensive palm groves in Morocco. After visiting the desert towns of Erfoud and Rissani, we arrive at our destination: Merzouga. We will settle into a hotel to rest. Finally, we will take a camel trek toward the Erg Chebbi dunes. We will climb the high dunes to witness a fascinating sunset before heading to the desert camp. There, we will enjoy various activities, such as dancing to live traditional music and stargazing. The nomads will entertain us until we retire for the night.

Day 2: Merzouga – Rissani – Erfoud – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley – Ouarzazate

On this day, we will rise early to watch the sunrise—an unmissable spectacle in the Sahara. We will ride the camels once more back to Merzouga, where we collect our luggage at the hotel. We will have breakfast and a shower before departing for Tinghir, the oasis, and the Todra Gorges. The Todra Gorges are the highest canyons in Morocco, and their landscapes are truly impressive. Afterward, we head to the Dades Valley and its gorges to explore the rock formations known as the “Monkey Fingers.” Next, we travel to Kalaat M’Gouna, the “City of Roses,” and Ouarzazate, the “Hollywood of Morocco,” traveling along the Route of a Thousand Kasbahs. We can also visit the iconic Skoura Oasis. We will spend the night in a luxury hotel in Ouarzazate.

Day 3: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – High Atlas – Marrakech

After breakfast, we travel to the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This is the largest Kasbah in Morocco and has appeared in numerous Hollywood films and the series *Game of Thrones*. Upon arriving in Marrakech via the High Atlas road, we will explore fascinating sites such as the Majorelle Gardens and Jemaa El Fna Square—the busiest square in Africa and one of the most exotic places in the world. We will tour the vast Marrakech Medina, also a World Heritage site, visiting artisan workshops, bazaars, Quranic schools, and the most iconic landmarks. Next, we will see the famous Bahia Palace and the Saadian Tombs. We will tour the main monuments and historical sites of Marrakech, including the souks, the Quranic schools, the Bahia Palace, and the Saadian Tombs. We will have lunch near Jemaa El Fna Square, followed by some free time. This marks the end of our 3-day desert excursion from Fes to Marrakech.
