Detailed itinerary :

4 Days From Ouarzazate to Marrakech

Day 1: Ouarzazate – Todra Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga

After breakfast, we depart for the Draa Valley, home to one of the longest rivers in Morocco. We will make several stops to admire the charming adobe Kasbahs and the natural wonders of the Draa Valley. After lunch, we arrive at the breathtaking dunes of Merzouga. Here, we will enjoy a traditional tea of hospitality and take some time to rest. Later, we will walk through the dunes to witness a stunning sunset. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2: Desert Activities

After breakfast, we will visit the village of Khamlia to enjoy a live performance of Gnawa music. Next, we head to the abandoned village of M’fis, discovering small hamlets in unexpected places far from civilization. We will also visit a nomad family and share tea with them to learn about their way of life. At sunset, we will mount camels to trek through the dunes and enjoy the golden hour. You will spend a magical night in a desert camp under a canopy of stars.

Day 3: Merzouga – Rissani – Erfoud – Todra Gorge – Boumalne Dades

Wake up early to catch the sunrise before breakfast. We will ride the camels back to the village and depart for Rissani, where we visit the Zawiya of Moulay Ali ash-Sharif and the local souk. Our journey continues toward Tinghir via Erfoud. Along the way, we will stop to see the “Khatarat” (an ancient underground irrigation canal system). After lunch, we follow the valley to reach the Todra Gorges, where we will take a walk through this marvelous site, enjoying views of the towering rock walls. Finally, we head to Boumalne Dades and the Dades Gorges, where you will have time to explore and see the unique rock formations known as “human bodies” and “monkey fingers.” Dinner and overnight stay at a hotel.

Day 4: Dades Gorges – Rose Valley – Ait Ben Haddou – Tichka Pass – Marrakech

Today we travel toward Ouarzazate via Boumalne Dades, El-Kelaa M’Gouna, and Skoura. You will admire the views of the Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs, the Rose Valley, and the Skoura Oasis. In Ouarzazate, we will stop to see the Taourirt Kasbah, built by the Glaoui dynasty. Next, we head to the village of Ait Ben Haddou to visit its famous UNESCO-listed Kasbah. Later, crossing the Tizi N’Tichka pass (2,260m), we will enjoy sweeping views of the High Atlas Mountains and the Berber villages along the way. Elena G., Madrid Corto pero intenso

Solo teníamos un fin de semana y este tour fue perfecto. Dormir en el desierto es algo que hay que hacer una vez en la vida. El guía fue súper amable y el 4x4 muy cómodo.

Frequently Asked Questions :

4 Days From Ouarzazate to Marrakech

Leaving from Ouarzazate allows you to spend much more time sightseeing and less time driving on the first day, making it more relaxed.

We recommend a scarf for the wind, sunglasses, and a small backpack with the essentials for the night at the campsite.

The Dades Valley and Todra Valley are usually cooler than the desert, so a light jacket is always a good idea.
