1 Excursion from Marrakech to Ouzoud Valley

Our adventure begins early in the morning, when we will pick you up at your hotel or riad in Marrakech and head northeast towards the Middle Atlas Mountains. During the approximately three-hour drive, we will leave the urban landscape behind and enter fertile plains dotted with olive trees and small Berber villages. The road offers an authentic glimpse of rural Moroccan life and the gradual change in the landscape to a more mountainous and green environment.

Upon arrival in Ouzoud, the sound of falling water will welcome us. We will begin a pleasant descent on foot along the trails that wind down to the base of the waterfalls, the highest in North Africa with a 360-foot drop. Along the way, we will stop at natural viewpoints to take spectacular photographs and, in complete safety, we will meet the most famous residents of the area: the Barbary macaques, who often approach visitors with curiosity among the argan and olive trees.

Once at the bottom, you will have the opportunity to feel the force of the waterfall up close. If you wish, you can climb into one of the small handmade boats to cross the river and arrive just below the curtain of water. After the hike, we will enjoy a traditional Moroccan lunch on one of the terraces with panoramic views of the waterfalls, a perfect moment to relax and enjoy the cool microclimate of the area. Finally, after an afternoon of relaxation and exploration, we will begin the journey back to Marrakech, arriving in the red city at dusk with unforgettable memories of this natural paradise.
